The innovative Starr Model 1858 Double Action Revolver allowed the user to fire the gun without first manually cocking the hammer. The experimental 1858 DA failed to meet Army specifications, so Starr developed the Model 1863 Single Action Revolver with fewer parts. Both of these replicas are 44 caliber and feature 6" barrels, 6-shot cylinders, fixed sights and steel frames.
